Cold-chain monitoring · Leeds

Hear about a warm fridge before your stock does.

Fernmark fits small wireless sensors in the fridges, freezers and cold rooms of restaurants, pharmacies and labs. When a temperature drifts, your phone knows within minutes, at two in the morning as well.

Walk-in cold room, cut away

One sensor, one gateway, one phone.

Hover, focus or tap a part to see what it does. Press the door to leave it ajar and watch the air warm.

Door closed · probe 2.5 °C · limit 5.0 °C

How it works

Three parts, one visit, no wiring.

  1. 01

Put a sensor where the stock is.

Each sensor clips to a shelf or stands in a small bottle of glycol, so it reads the temperature of the food and not the air that swings when the door opens. Five minutes a fridge.

  2. 02

    The gateway listens from outside.

Steel and foam stop radio, so the gateway sits on a wall in the kitchen or office. It takes mains power and your router, with a 4G card as back-up, and it keeps readings if the internet drops.

  3. 03

    Your phone hears first.

You set the limits. If two readings in a row go over, you get a push notification, then a text, then a call. Every reading is kept for 24 months and a daily log is filled in for you.

What a customer said

“A door was left ajar after a late delivery. The alert reached me at ten past two. I was there by half past and we lost nothing. Before Fernmark that would have been a skip of food.”
